Four brothers. Four straws. One bride.
Short-Straw Bride had a lot to live up to (if you’ve read my reviews of Head in the Clouds and A Tailor-Made Bride, you’d agree) and the good news is it met them and more. Meredith and Travis are their own characters. Don’t you just love that?
When you read so many books by an author, yet the people still step off the page, their own people, with their own hearts, hurts, and destinies?
That’s what happened with the Archers and Meredith.
Witemeyer is a talented author on my favorite author’s list for a reason. I like that her dialogue is spunky and sounds real, her heroes and heroines often clash and roll their eyes at each other, and the stories pull me right in to history.
Lovers of historical romance will enjoy Short-Straw Bride.

Jessica, true! Sometimes prologues like that don't work, but Witemeyer and Tricia Goyer carry it off well. :)

Thank you, Sarah Michelle!

I LOVED this book! I especially liked the beginning when the two main characters were young. So sweet!
I also loved Head in the Clouds equally as much! I haven't read Tailor-Made Bride yet, but I will soon.
