Happy Thursday and welcome (back) to the WhiteFire Scavenger Hunt and Giveaway! I bet you’re here for one of two reasons: you’re either following along from the last stop on the scavenger hunt or you’re curious what the scavenger hunt actually is. Either way, keep scrolling because there’s a lot of fun and a ultra-mega-huge giveaway happening in this corner of the blogosphere!
But what IS the Scavenger Hunt?
All of us WhiteFire Publishing authors teamed up and put together this blog loop and giveaway (led by our fearless leader, Roseanna White). What’s at stake? THREE amazing prize packages are up for grabs and the way you enter is this: collect all the clues in order. That’s it!
Once you have them all, you’ll have uncovered a secret message. Turn that in at the final stop for a chance to win one of THREE amazing prize packages!
Here are the Details:
- Go back to Stop One, where The Hunt begins at Roseanna White’s site! There you’ll find Clue #1.
- Take your time! You have all weekend to complete the Hunt—entries won’t be counted until Monday June 26—so have fun reading all the posts along the way and getting to know each author.
- Don’t miss the extra prizes! Many of the other authors (including myself) are featuring unique giveaways as well, so there are even more chances to win!
- Submit your entry for the grand prizes back at Roseanna White’s blog.
You might be reading this today because you’re new to my site, having clicked over just for the next clue in the Scavenger Hunt. Scroll to find Clue #12 just below!
But first, allow me to introduce myself. I have three WhiteFire titles that comprise the Steadfast Love series, an inspirational romance series set in 1566: The Sound of Diamonds, The Sound of Silver, and The Sound of Emeralds. You’re welcome to click through any or all of those titles to find their purchase links, or you can sign up for my email list to receive the first chapter of The Sound of Diamonds for free. There’s also an extra giveaway just below the clue!
I married a man with the same name as my fictional hero. And I wrote all three books before I even met him.
We were wed last summer, on June 11, 2016.
His name is Devin, just like Dirk’s is. That’s right, the romance novelist has had her love stories one-upped by the one God wrote just for her, for me, the happy heroine in a love that’s still going strong as my husband and I make our newlywed nest in the small town where we both grew up.
So there you have it, the story of how I married a man who shares the same name as my fictional hero. No, it’s not Dirk. Did you really think his mama, who we meet in Book Two, named Dirk Dirk? No, sirree, she gave him a respectable Christian name: Devon.
My man’s name is Devin. I was one letter off, big deal.
In addition writing fiction, I also edit for authors and bloggers looking to polish their pages. You can find out more about my services here. Now on to the clue!
Here’s the Scoop on Stop #12:
