Growing up, goody-two-shoes Kirra Jacobs and troublemaker Reef McKenna were always at odds. Now paired together on Yancey’s search-and-rescue canine unit, they begin to put aside old arguments as they come to see each other in a different light.
I thought I might not enjoy Sabotaged as much as I had Dani‘s other books in the Alaskan Courage series. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Kirra and Reef’s story was my favorite–the perfect finale.
Never losing sight of the ties that bind the McKenna family together, Dani nevertheless begins an entirely new, unique story. Sabotaged centers around the exciting Iditarod race. The action begins immediately, with Kirra and Reef taking off into the night to find a missing musher. From there, the tension just escalates until you’re awake reading at 1am. Ahem. :)
Yet the exciting action never overtakes the sweet love story developing in the background. As has been her wont from the very first book in the series, Dani has written a lovely backstory for each of the couples in the succeeding books, so we almost knew already that each couple with history would only get into more trouble together. With Kirra and Reef, the drama is no different. They know each other…but are they falling for each other?
You must read Sabotaged to find out!
Buckle up for a high-stakes adventure where the heart-pumping action of Alaska’s last frontier and extreme sports will keep you turning pages. But never fear, the romance is just as compelling–especially since Kirra harbors a secret.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and won’t soon forget the threads of faith woven throughout. Read it, my friends. Enjoy it, and be changed. Then on to Dani‘s next series, which I’m thoroughly looking forward to!

She is indeed great at it–one of the reasons I can hardly put the book down and it only takes me 2-3 days to finish it! :)

Great review – as usual, Rachelle. This was the perfect way to end the series. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye, but everyone is happy and has come through the better for the challenges they’ve faced. Cannot wait for the 2016 series from Dani. :)
