I love Joy Palmer‘s writing style!
Witty, relatable, and sometimes slipping in asides that made me laugh out loud, Joy crafted a humdinger of a story sure to make you smile, laugh, and sit back with a satisfied sigh when you reach the end–unless of course, like me, you don’t want the story to end!
I have the privilege of sharing a publisher with Joy. We’re both the youngest writers in the WhiteFire stable, and I’ve so enjoyed getting to know Joy. I also enjoyed getting to know Izze! She’s delightful, real, and quirky. And Miles is her perfect counterpart.
I don’t usually reach for contemporaries, but I knew I’d love this debut novel. I wasn’t wrong, and I encourage you to pick it up, too! If you love the show Say Yes to the Dress, you’ll adore Love, Lace, and Minor Alterations!
