My Top 5 Favorite Things Lately

This post may contain affiliate links. Read my full disclosure policy here.

On a road trip recently, a friend asked me, “What’s a product or thing I should be using that you’d be flabbergasted I don’t yet know about?”

I proceeded to talk her ear off about the following products, things, and life hacks! I hope you enjoy this assortment of items that enrich my life. Do comment below with what you’d add that “you’d be flabbergasted I don’t yet know about”!

Swiffer Vacuum Sweeper

Swiffer Sweeper Vacuum

Ya’ll, I don’t know how I lasted in a house with only hardwood floors this long without this thing! Seriously. I grew up in a home that was mostly carpeted, and our first apartment was the same way. But when we bought this fixer-upper, tore out all the carpeting, and had a plethora of flooring to choose from, we went with vinyl plank flooring. It’s beautiful. And I swept the entire house once a week (the kitchen, more often!) for over a year before I was gifted this little gem. I’m never going back. The sucking power isn’t the same as a vacuum you’d use on carpet, but boy does it beat a broom! (And it’s very affordable on Amazon!)

O Cedar Mop

Spray Mop

This little machine has also become a pivotal part of my cleaning routine! It was one of the first things I bought when we moved into our home. Two things I love about it: 1) I can pull off the mop head and toss it into the washer and 2) I can fill the spray bottle with whatever cleaning solution I want, and I prefer to create my own with a mixture of vinegar and water and essential oils. This is such a sturdy little mop, especially for the price!

Walmart Grocery Pick-Up

Walmart Grocery Pick Up

Game-changer. I used to spend 2-3 hours per week writing out my grocery list after creating my meal plan, rewriting my list according to the layout of the grocery store I was visiting, and then I’d go shopping. Then I’d come home and unload it all. Now I spend no time at all loading my grocery cart within the Walmart Grocery app. I pick my pick-up time, drive to the store, get my groceries, and come home to unload. Painless! Is it always perfect? Nope! Sometimes I’ve gotten the wrong item, but I can request a refund straight from the app. And it’s FREE so even if the error rate was way higher, I’d still do it to save myself time.

Todoist Task Management App

I wrote an entire blog post about this, so I won’t belabor the point, but suffice it to say I love Todoist. I use it to keep track of work tasks, remind myself of important things I don’twant to forget to do, organize and structure my day, and earn myself more freedom with my time. Because I know what I need to get done, I can rest easy at the end of the day that I’m on top of everything. For more, check out my full tutorial.

Hoopla app

Hoopla App

Um, guys, if you haven’t tried Hoopla yet, I highly recommend it. I sing its praises regularly to friends! This app has revolutionized my reading life! Not only do I get to borrow 5 e-books for free each month, but it’s super easy to use! You can download directly to your device or read straight from the app like I do. Just link your library card.

Not available from all libraries, unfortunately! But try OverDrive or Libby for a comparable experience.

What product, item, or life hack would you not want to live without?
